ECF72 is poured into the engine and flushed twice, at 15 minute intervals each. |
Sludge, carbon deposits, metal dust and harmful particles, all flushed out from the engine. |
Q. Who should use an engine oil flush?
A. It is fair to say that anyone who is conscientious about car maintenance will benefit from using
an engine oil flush in the long term. This is particularly so if the vehicle is to be kept for more than
80,000km or if it has already traveled more than 80,000km and has an unknown history. Anyone
who operates a vehicle under severe conditions will also benefit.
Q. Will engine oil flush completely clean the inside of my engine?
A. No. Using an engine oil flush will help remove recently accumulated sludge and will help to
reduce hard carbon deposits. Any product that claims to completely clean the internals of an engine
should be treated with utmost suspicion. If a product were aggressive enough to remove all engine
deposits, it would also destroy critical oil seals. To achieve maximum benefit from engine oil flush
it should be used with each oil change.
Q. I have heard that using an engine flush can lead to increased oil consumption. Is this so?
A. The answer is no. However, if the engine is worn and heavily contaminated around the piston
rings, oil consumption may increase until the rings have freed up.
Q. Can engine oil flush be used in diesel or LPG engines?
A. Yes.
Q. Can I drive my car while the engine oil flush is in the engine?
A. While technically it is possible, we recommend against doing so because the oil is already at the
end of its service life. The engine oil flush will further dilute the oil, so there is a remote possibility
that bearing damage could occur if the vehicle were driven, particularly if it were under load.
Q. If I use engine oil flush, does this mean I can extend my oil change intervals?
A. Yes. The use of engine oil flush will improve the working environment in which the oil operates;
only one extended cycle is recommended.
Why must engine lubrication system be cleaned?
When an engine accumulates miles all the internal moving parts is subjected to heat built-up
through metal to metal contact friction. Due to frictional heat the lubrication oil will oxidize to form
harmful carbon deposits. Friction will also result in fine metal dust to be released into the
lubrication oil. These harmful deposits will be forced into circulation continuously together with the
lubrication oil and cause wear and tear to surface of moving parts and bearing. The oxides and
sludge formed will settle throughout the engine and will clog all oil passages thus restricting the
efficient flow of oil to the vital engine moving parts.
Therefore, it is mandatory for all engines to undergo a cleaning and flushing procedure to remove
the maximum amount of the harmful oxidized carbon, metal dust and sludge from the engine
lubrication system by using flushing fluid. Ecozoil organic based flushing fluid is highly
recommended for the engine cleaning process.
